CF Gore-Tex jacket
All Canadian Forces participants are required to have a correct Canadian Forces Gore-Tex coat in OD color. The Cadpat version is not acceptable.
Notes on why we specify the Gore-Tex Combat coat
The previous combat coat was a two piece jacket comprised of a cotton/quarpel treated outer layer and an insulated liner. It was fairly distinctive as it mirrored the pocket style of the Canadian Combat shirt and had a tell tale corduroy collar. The old combat coat was used up until the late 90’s when it was replaced by the first generation Gore-tex Combat Coat.
Although not entirely period correct, the Gore-tex Combat coat is more rain resistant than its predecessor which makes it far better suited to March weather in Oklahoma during East Wind's nine days in the field.
