Administrative Vehicles

There are admin vehicles. Not that I want to haul folks off for being idiots, but we may need to rephrase that.Shoobe01 (talk) 10:30, 2 September 2013 (MST)

Added in "available to local commanders" That work? Allan 08:00 Sept 4

Deleted still more persistent Day Player references... Allan 10:00 Sept 4

Nerf Effects

Seems like we at least need a note under Special Weapons that direct fire Nerfs are covered under Vehicles.Shoobe01 (talk) 10:30, 2 September 2013 (MST)

I still do not see sufficient clarity in the Vehicle kill section for the issues we've had. Need to say what each system can kill, or come up with a solid way of defining (e.g. each system gets classified at checkin with what it can do to various vehicles?).Shoobe01 (talk) 10:30, 2 September 2013 (MST)

We'd have to write an entire book about this just to cover every eventuality. Fact is, there are not that many eventualities in the field so lets just make the call there. We really do have damn few armored vehicles and even fewer that could take a hit from any anti-armor system and survive. If we suddlenly get over run with M60s and T-72s I may change my mind but when we are looking at Shorlands, Ferrets, and BTR-40s this is not a huge issue. Allan 07:50 sept 4 2013

Night Vehicle Kill Indicators

Did we ever do something for this? Red light vs. flag?Shoobe01 (talk) 10:30, 2 September 2013 (MST)

I do not like any form of lights being used for dead indicators. Just too many opportunities to screw with night vision, back light the living troops etc. I think what we have now is working fine. Besides, we also have things like IR drive lights and even red drive lights drivers reading a map with a red light, brake lights etc that could be misinterpreted as kill indicators. BB Showers

Since some rockets can be filled with lots of BBs, and I still see people confused by even what a grenade does, do we need to have a brief item under special weapons mentioning that a BB is a BB? Shoobe01 (talk) 10:30, 2 September 2013 (MST)

Also not sure I see a clear enough "if everyone around you was killed by a burst of BBs from a grenade or mine, you are probably dead also..." which might be good. Unless I just don't see it.Shoobe01 (talk) 10:30, 2 September 2013 (MST)

Who has been confused about being hit by bbs? At least on my end of things I have not seen an issue with this. Even guys who did not get hit with bbs from a grenade for instance will generally call out when they know they just got smoked by a nearby grenade. Allan 07:55 Sept 4 2013

Consistency and Clarity

I avoided cleaning up any text just now, but we should. I did change capitalization, so the format was consistent at least. Nerf is a brand name, fps is lower-case and some others. Not just to be neat, but it's a semi-legal document. We need this to be beyond reproach if it has to be defended plus it makes it easier if it can be parsed well. So, think about that while editing it. For example, if you want to use an abbreviation or term of art make sure it's defined; respawn and regen seem to be interchangeable but presumably we need to pick one.Shoobe01 (talk) 10:35, 2 September 2013 (MST)
