U.S. Army
The U.S. Army unit at East Wind will be the (fictional) 315th Radio Relay Company. Radio relay companies were small units that would deploy independently to provide radio and telephone retransmit and relay support for other units in the Brigade.
During the time frame we are portraying, Radio Relay Companies were gradually being phased out as technology changed and most were finding themselves immersed more and more in an infantry role.
The Wig Wag, the old signal flags for land forces, are the symbol of the U.S. Army Signal Corps, and many Signals units, including the 315 RRC.
The 315RRC plays smarter and harder than any other airsoft unit you have ever been a part of. Small squad sizes, frequent independent operations, a high degree of motor transport, the best period correct comms gear you will ever lay your hands on, and the best support equipment in the event. What more could you want?
Each individual attending as a U.S. Army soldier is required to have all of the equipment listed on this page before they will be allowed entry to the field. Click on the name of each item for more details, and photos. There will be an inspection when you sign in. If you have questions, or are having trouble sourcing some items, please contact us.
While some of the equipment on the list may not seem to have immediate value, it is not just for the sake of realism or re-enacting. All the equipment is designed to work as a system, with other people's gear, and with the heavy equipment we provide.
Before being sure you have all of this stuff, be sure to read the list of items that you cannot bring.
